Project

With the construction of the Upper Lillooet Hydro Project, the location of the existing Pebble Creek Hot Springs trail head and parking lot was within the construction foot print. The old access trail to the Pebble Creek Hot Springs was in very poor shape and need to be relocated. Hedberg and Associates was responsible for locating and designing a suitable parking lot to handle 20 vehicles along with 2km of new trail and a foot bridge. The footbridge was installed using a helicopter due to its remote location. Our firm was responsible for the project from the conceptual stage to final construction and commissioning. As a capacity building initiative and to complete the construction phase, the local First Nations forestry workers were trained in trail building and slope stabilization techniques. The project was completed on budget and on schedule.
